How to setup OpenVPN on Linux

After paying the order you will receive by email an archive with configuration files. Extract the files with .ovpn extension from this archive and place it into newly created OpenVPN folder.

Click on Dash, Search for Terminal and open it.

Go to OpenVPN folder - in terminal type command cd OpenVPN and hit Enter.

To list files, type command ls.

To establish VPN-connection launch the OpenVPN application with the required configuration file: for example, type sudo openvpn USA, New York us3.ovpn to connect to the VPN-server in New York.

Note: for quick set file name you can press Tab after typing the first few letters of the name.

The terminal displays information about the connection, the successful connection is indicated by Initialization Sequence Completed.
